Classic Fruit Popsicles
Classic lolly pops are a very easy way to provide Summer fun to the family, and all they require is your own selection of fruit and a blender! Whether you choose to blitz together a variety of berries, or some crunchy apples and pears, they’re bound to taste great. If you’re feeling fancy, you could even invest in some tropical fruits you’ve never had before, for an exciting way to get your friends and family experiencing new flavour.
Fruit Yoghurt Popsicles
Simple and wholesome, these fruit snacks are brilliant for providing friends and family with a nutritious treat during the summer season. All you have to do is blend your chosen fruit selection together with plenty of natural or greek yoghurt, to provide a healthy base for the lollies. The texture will now become smooth and creamy, and means you can make a small amount of fruit go a long way. If you’re wanting to create lollies that look extra appealing, you could make different coloured smoothies (red berries, yellow bananas and green kiwis for example), and separately pour them into the lolly containers. Now you’ve created a beautiful and impressive rainbow effect!
Fruit Salad Popsicles
These particular ice lollies are perfect for making an appealing summertime snack for young children. Slicing your selection of fruit into different shapes and sizes and then filling the lolly holders will present your kids with a pretty popsicle bursting with exciting colours! Simply fill the container with flavoured soda water or grape juice after you have distributed the fruit, and freeze until frozen. This also does not require you using a blender and means they’re even quicker and more convenient to make, meaning less mess for everyone involved! It’s a great Summer activity for children too, where they can learn lots of types of fruit and become interested in how to eat nutritiously, with it still being fun and exciting.
Alcoholic Popsicles
When keeping cool and kicking back in your garden, it’s great when you can have a fruity ice lolly or an ice-cold cocktail. But how about combining the two together for an ultra cool snack? Whether it’s Tequila, Vodka, Schnapps or Rum, simply mix together your favourite alcoholic cocktail concoction and throw in a healthy dose of fruit. Blending together for an extra smooth taste, it’s up to you what flavours and colours you create. It’s such a simple way of making summer fun!
